Alyssa Calhoun, CFP®, MBA

Director of Client Communications & Associate Wealth Advisor

As Director of Client Communications, Alyssa engages with all of the firm’s clients to better their experience and make a positive impact on their lives. As an Associate Wealth Advisor and member of the Investment Committee she specializes in working with women, mid-career professionals and families. As an advisor that embodies all these characteristics herself, she is able to easily connect with her clients and their lives.

Alyssa has been in the investment and financial services industry for over 17 years. A majority of that time was spent at Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA), where she held several roles across the firm as she advanced in her career. Spending time on the portfolio management and corporate governance teams gave her keen insights on how mutual funds are created and managed daily. While working with financial advisors and marketing, Alyssa was able to help educate financial advisors about investment concepts for their own benefit, but also how to communicate these concepts with their clients. After years of helping other advisors communicate investments with their clients, she wanted to jump to the other side and help clients herself.

When she’s not in the office, she’s busy volunteering with the PTA at her children’s school. She is the mother of an 8 year old son and 6 year old daughter. To keep up with their active personalities, she attempts to call herself a runner. She’s also a dedicated blood donor and election worker to encourage all those able to vote, to do so. And her ultimate passion – traveling with her husband, Jacob, and kids. Growing up she wanted to be Samantha Brown. Tell her about your most memorable trip.
