CAM Founders Note: Thankful for You and Year End Reminders

At year end we like to reflect on the past year. What went well, what could we have done better, and what can we do to make the next year great. As we think back on 2024, we helped some clients through some tremendously challenging times. Other clients had big wins and many blessings that we got to be a part of. We are grateful to be here for all of it.

At CAM, we continue to welcome new families and are grateful for the referrals from our clients. It’s an incredible vote of confidence when over 90% of new clients each year continue to be from client referrals. Thank you!

We aim to provide excellent financial planning and investment advice to our clients. This includes meeting client needs with appropriate solutions. We’ve been working hard these last few months to ensure that we can continue to offer superior services in 2025.

Here are two new initiatives that you can expect to learn more about in early 2025:
  • CAM Short Term Income Strategy: As the Federal Reserve has continued to reduce the Fed Funds rate, yields on cash and money markets continue to decline (as low as 3.75 – 4.00% in December) with more rate cuts expected in 2025. To stay ahead of this for our clients’ benefit, we have launched a new diversified high income solution to offer clients a potential way to diversify their excess cash, money markets, and short term fixed income investments. Unlike our CAM Core Income Strategy which is only for accredited investors and has a $250,000 minimum investment, CAM Short Term Income is available to all investors, offers daily liquidity, and carries a much lower minimum investment.

  • CAM Monthly Webinars: Following a lot of great feedback and regular questions from our clients, we will begin hosting monthly webinars for our audience. We will share dates for January, February, and March soon. The goal will be to cover not just current events but also relevant investment discussion, advanced planning opportunities, and tax strategies which are designed to help our clients grow and/or preserve their wealth for their families and the next generation. We will also occasionally host guest presenters based on the ongoing needs of our clients.

So stick around or connect with us to be part of these new year initiatives!

Marc’s Year End Thoughts & Reminders:

It wouldn’t be a year end wrap up without a few parting thoughts.

  1. If you will be in a higher income bracket going forward, make sure you are taking advantage of advanced tax planning strategies to save you money.
  2. Avoid speculating when you still think you’re investing. Many of our clients have heard us say this or share stories of the past.
  3. Interest rates – take advantage of them as long term rates remain higher. Diversify excess money market reserves as short term rates drop.
  4. Do you want to pay less in taxes? Everyone can have a lower tax bill if they do proper year around financial planning.
  5. Understand which investments may stand to benefit from current interest rates (lower short-term interest rates, higher long-term rates).
  6. Be wary of some of the newest entrants and shiny objects into the hottest asset classes.
  7. Don’t let your cost basis dictate your investment decisions. Taking profits and buying cheaper stocks can help you make more money over time.
  8. Private vs. Public investments…Understand what’s the right mix for you.
  9. A strong U.S. dollar and low short term interest rates typically do not happen together (regardless of what the media says).
  10. Yes, real estate will recover but it may take time depending on where you live.
  11. Don’t wait to find a good CPA tax preparer…start now.

As the Firm crosses its 8th anniversary in January 2025, we thank you for your continued interest and trust in CAM Investor Solutions. Happy holidays as we look forward to an exciting and prosperous 2025!
